Hope everyone is doing good! I’m back with yet another post. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty proud of blogging game right now.
We put a lot of effort into deciding our outfits – it doesn’t matter whether it is work or a party, our outfits are important! Each outfit has its own dictums – what to wear, what not to wear. Then you must worry about accessories.
You guys know how much I love ethnic jewellery and clothes, so I thought why not give this dress my desi spin. The colour of the dupatta is perfect, I guess I haven’t really worn anything like that.
This outfit is perfect for any occasion and can be experimented with different colours. Choose what suits you best. I went ahead and added this silver coin neckpiece.
I love ethnic wear, but very often I would spend long hours in the market going from store to store trying to find designs that are trendy and imagining how they would look on me. That was too time consuming and the outfits I liked were always beyond my budget.
So I went ahead to commercial street in Bangalore, looking for fabrics. I saw many fabrics but I wanted to keep it simple yet chick.
So I went ahead and bought a plain black american crape material for the top and bottom and bought half meter of lace material for the sleeves, ( see through material looks sexy )
I asked my tailor to stitch a Punjabi suit and wanted a heavy patiala pant and attached the see through lace to my sleeves and the length of the sleeve to my elbows. After I got my suit stitched, I went ahead in search of a boho mirror work dupatta . Found this beautiful dupatta with red and green detailing all over the fabric with mirror details on all four borders.
As yellow is my favourite colour and its the colour of summers, I paired these two
For me fashion is all about expressing yourself even if it’s breaking the so called ‘rules’ in fashion. Metallics in your outfit has always been considered to be a going-out outfit. So, for today’s post, I’ve thought of sharing a simple day look . Not to forget, coloured dupattas are too hot on trend right now. It’s quite unconventional but obvious to distinguish you in the crowd.
Silver antique jewellery speaks to me on a different level. This is more boho than the rest. I paired this coin neckpiece with oxidised silver antique earrings and layered them well to create this look.
Adding big bindhis add extra to the ethnicity. So its an option , You are the best stylist, you can customise all these details according to your tastes.
Hope this OOTD idea helped you. when you are confused what to wear.
